Our Family Adventures

We got really brave and had our first road trip with Gracie when she was 2 weeks old!  We went to GR for a BBQ they were having for my parents before they moved.  Gracie did SO well in the car!  She slept all the way there and all the way home.  While we were in GR she was kinda a stinker, but what can you expect when you take a 2 week old on a trip!

I think this move was great for my parents and for Carlie, but it was hard having to say goodbye to the house I grew up in!!  I have so many good memories in that house!  I cried while we were taking these pictures :(

Since my Dad had started his job the first of August he made the trip back to GR every weekend and would always stop and see Gracie, she got to have lots of photo shoots!

Poor little girl had baby acne for the first few weeks.  It made me feel like an awful mom!  Thankfully it didn't stick around long.

This is the first smile we captured on camera.  Of course it was Kaleb that got her to smile, not the lady who feeds her, changes her, and gets up in the middle of the night!  She sure loves her Dad!

Kaleb ordered the Braves onesie for Gracie to come home from the hospital in, it was obviously way to big, so we grabbed a picture before he left for a softball game when it fit a little better!

Gracie was almost 1 month when I took these pictures, but I had to get a picture in the onesie that I came home from the hospital in!

We love visitors!

Taking these pictures were impossible!!  I tried so hard to get one with her looking and semi smiling, but I didn't succeed!

On Labor Day Em and Bri came down and we hiked the Gratto up Payson Canyon.  It was great to get out of the house, even if I didn't get dressed!  We had fun hiking, watching Owen run the ENTIRE trail, and having their fam hang out at the house for the afternoon.

Newborn Pictures

I work with some pretty great ladies in YW.  Emily does photography and offered to do Gracie's newborn pictures, she did AMAZING!

Kaleb HATES naked baby pictures, I LOVE them!!  They grow up so fast and I want to remember every tiny naked baby roll :)

Could there be a cuter bum??

This is our favorite picture!  This was the look that we got for Gracie's first month of life!

Life with a new baby

No one tells you how hard a new baby is (or they try to tell you and you don't listen)!  We were SO grateful that my mom came the day that Gracie came home from the hospital to spend 4 days with us while we tried to get adjusted to life with a little one.

She cooked, cleaned, did laundry, listened to me and the baby cry, got up during the night, basically, she was a life saver!!!  I don't think I would have eaten the first week home if it wasn't for her!

Our first family photo at our house.

We had lots of visitors our first few days home.  We know they came to see me and Kaleb and see how we were doing, not the baby!  We felt pretty loved:)

Even though we got little sleep the first week, and listened to more crying then anyone should have to listen to in a lifetime, we wouldn't trade it for anything!!

Gracie on her way to her first Drs appointment.

I've got to give Kaleb some credit, I only had to deal with Gracie (and my raging hormones), but he had to deal with ME and Gracie!!  What can i say, he's pretty great!
